Don't Touch the Hair

Well my goodness, I clearly am not using DA enough because with this newfangled system I don't even know how to put something in scraps. NUARGH.

So. I'm currently more than a little gay for Ivalice right now, and I'm also on this LJ community that has a project going on right now, making Ivalice-themed art in classical art styles. It tickles the fandom buds and the art history minor gland all at the same time, and as a bonus I'll have another excuse for wanting to practice digital painting.

Part of that also involves talking about the fan-made "artist" behind your work, because since Ivalice is such a rich world, there MUST'VE been historians or portrait painters or slobbering fangirls doodling Balthier on their homework. So while I was bop bop bopping along between classes, I got this sudden idea for this Moogle named Tremonti (some of the canon Moogles have this thing about being named after cakes, so I decided to follow the trend) who is a self-styled famous historian and goes around with his packs bulging with scrolls and inks. And a gun, since I decided he should have some sort of nod to the FFTA job system and well, history is a dangerous subject to be involved in when you're a two foot high fuzzy creature and your colleagues are all much taller than you and definitely want their work to be published before yours is.
